Krishnachura, Poetry of Color

Krishnachura, Poetry of Color: A Contemporary Bangladeshi Silent Art Auction will support organizations who work for children’s education and rights in Bangladesh. The event will work with US-based non-profit organization Drishtipat to support the Bangladeshi non profit organizations BLAST (Bangladeshi Legal Aid and Services Trust) and SSKS (Sathi Samaj Kalyan Samithee).

This year we are hosting the event at the John David Mooney Foundation, a River North building as old as the great Chicago Fire itself.  The evening will be a chance to experience Bangladeshi and South Asia through the arts. You will meet Bangladeshi painter MD Tokon as well as local Chicago artists Sadia Uquali and Zafar Malik, mingle with leaders of Chicago’s South Asian community, enjoy each other’s company, and celebrate in the knowledge that your support is having a positive impact on children who deserve a much better chance in life.
